2025 Student Scholarship

The Centro Cultural Cubano (CCC) is proud to offer its Annual $2,500 Student Scholarship to support Cuban and Cuban-descendant students pursuing higher education in Massachusetts.

Eligibility

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

Membership Requirement: Open to CCC members, as well as children or grandchildren of CCC members
Cultural Background: Applicants must be Cuban or of Cuban descent
Residency / Study: Students living or studying in Massachusetts
Academic Levels:
- High school seniors planning to attend a university, vocational, or trade school
- Current college, vocational, or trade school students in good standing
- Postgraduate students
Fields of Study:
- Business
- Sciences
- Liberal Arts
- Engineering
- Social Studies
- Technology
- Vocational / Technical fields
- Trade professions

Required Documents

Applicants must submit the following by email to miriamgorriaran@gmail.com:

Transcript of grades (minimum 3.0 GPA)
Proof of acceptance or current enrollment at a college, vocational, or trade school
Essay in English or Spanish– one paragraph for each of the following points:
- Family history / heritage
- Goals and ambitions
- Extracurricular activities (sports, community work, hobbies, or job)
- Importance of being bilingual
- Historia de Cuba
Letter of recommendation from a teacher

Complete the Interest Form below to indicate your intention to apply and confirm your eligibility.
Email all required documents to miriamgorriaran@gmail.com by November 8, 2025.
Interview (if selected): Finalists may be invited for an interview (in person or virtual) with the scholarship committee.
Selection: Only complete applications submitted by the deadline will be considered.
